FAQs

HONUA DRINK BOTTLES AND FLASKS

How do I clean my bottle?

All our bottles are best hand washed in warm soapy water, we do not recommend using a dishwasher as this can compromise the vacuum insulation. If there is any residue left in your bottle, you can fill it with hot water and some white vinegar or baking soda, & leave it to soak overnight, the next day give it a scrub with a bottle brush. Please don't soak the exterior of the bottle or use harsh chemicals or bleach as they can rust stainless steel.

Can I freeze my bottle?

No. If you want ice cold contents, you need to add ice cubes or chill your drinks first, then pour into your bottle.

Will it keep my drinks hot?

The best way to keep them hot/warm is to fill the bottle full and leave the lid on. If you keep opening and closing the lid the heat will escape and cool quicker.

The straw lid is not recommended for hot drinks.

What beverages can be poured into my bottle?

You can fill your bottle with any of your favourite drinks! Ice cold water, juice, smoothies, protein shakes, tea, coffee, wine and beer. Make sure they are either nice and cold or hot to start with so they stay cold or hot for longer. Take care with hot contents as they can burn you.

Will my bottle sweat?

Due to the double wall insulation, there should be no condensation or sweat on the outside of your bottle. Making it perfect for in your school bag, hand bag, baby bag!

What are the bottles made from and do they contain any toxins?

We have chosen 18/8 food grade stainless steel as it is the safest & healthiest option. It contains no plastic inner liner, and is free from nasties including BPA, aluminium and lead. Our lids are also BPA free, made from PP#5 plastic.

Can I recycle my bottle at the end of its life?

Yes! Just check with your local council to make sure it can go in your recycling bin, if not you can drop it off to a local drop point. All our lids are also recyclable.

How hard is it to damage a bottle?

18/8 stainless steel is pretty tough, unfortunately it will ding if you drop it and paint may chip or scratch, however this shouldn't affect the quality of the inner bottle.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Handle with care
  • Gentle machine OR hand wash only
  • Cold wash only
  • Dry in shade
  • Do not bleach
  • Do not tumble dry

Simply machine wash in cold water on a delicate/gentle cycle when required and air dry. If you don't have a delicate cycle option, its best to hand wash. Since products are yarn dyed and not printed, your rug will remain bright and lovely, wash after wash. They tend to get softer after each wash. Avoid spikey objects around products to avoid pulling threads.
